The Higher the Magnification - The More Detail You'll See

Magnification is the ability of your microscope to make small objects seem larger. As the magnification increases the area being viewed will be decrease is size but the detail of the area being viewed will improve.

Amscope microscopes come with multiple magnifications to aid you in finding the proper magnification for viewing each specimen.

Camera Connection Types

When comparing 2.0 and 3.0 there are few major differences. First the transfer rates. USB 2.0 offers transfer rates of 480 Mbps and USB 3.0 offers transfer rates of 4.8 Gbps - that's 10 times faster.

Camera Resolution

The most important factor in ensuring successful microscopic imaging is choosing the appropriate optics and camera for your application that gives you more data and higher image quality. When selecting a microscope camera, it is best to base your decision on the most important requirements for your microscopic observation.

Key Features

  • 7X-90X extended zoom magnification using high-quality Greenough stereoscopic objective lenses and a 2X Barlow lens.
  • Continuous zoom magnification
  • Super widefield optics offer crystal clear images with a large field-of-view
  • Versatile flexible articulating arm with table clamp
  • Trinocular port for adding photo or video capability
  • Monitor and capture photos and videos with the included 1.3MP USB 2.0 camera. Professional microscopy software for Windows, Mac, and Linux provide tools for image processing, measuring, and more.
  • The lightweight 8W fluorescent ring-light produces a smooth, encompassing field of light for use with any application.

This is a trinocular stereo zoom microscope with an articulating support system. The 3-section articulating arm uses spring tension with multiple locks to pivot and swing the microscope over a large area. Designed to meet the demands of modern microscopy applications, this microscope exceeds all expectations. It comes with SUPER widefield optics and super large stand. This microscope offers high resolution and good depth within a broad field of view. It provides crystal clear sharp stereo images with a 4" (100mm) native working distance. Its 45 degree inclined trinocular head ensures an easy observation and rubber eyeguards provide further comfort.

The stereo optics provide clear, sharp images with excellent focus-depth and a large working-distance. With 0.7X-4.5X zoom objectives, moving through the magnification range is as easy as turning a knob. 10X wide-field eyepieces provide an ample magnification range from 7X to 45X, with high-eyepoint optics to accommodate glasses or goggles. A 2X Barlow lens is included, which can be mounted to the objective housing to double the magnification range to 14X-90X. This will also result in decreased working distance. The combined magnification ranges provide 7X-90X.

The microscope also features a switched trinocular photo port for attaching an imaging device without the need to replace one of the eyepieces. The photo port is especially useful for attaching a video-capable camera for a live video stream that can be projected on a television or monitor. Our unmatched lineup of cameras offers endless possibilities, including computer-based imaging and measurements, time-lapse capture, and wi-fi or LAN networking.

The articulating support system can be used to position the microscope over a large area, and over a large range of heights. The support system uses a heavy-duty clamp which should be mounted to a sturdy work surface up to 2" thick. The spring-tensioned arm sections can be individually locked to set a working height, while pivoting joints move freely to allow the microscope to be swung into place when needed.
